Doin' the chores

Carlianne took Quincy out to do chores. They looked so cute, I had to take a shot. Carlianne loves to do the chores and we LOVE the milk. Best goats milk I have ever tasted. She is so much "Heidi of the mountains"! I hope she can live in the country all her life.

BYUI-Bonnevaires

This was the most incredible concert of this type I have been to! Bonnevaires went to BYUI for an all day clinic to prepare for this concert. They had been practicing since summer on these numbers and it was AMAZING! Perfection of sound. Mason was really in his element. What glorious experiences he is having! By the way, he is in SLC right now at an orchestra retreat. They are at the Utah Symphony tonight and will go to a Jazz game tomorrow. I hope you can bring this photo in close enough to see him. We should have sat up front. He's in the upper right. (Best looking kid in the whole group!) really.

Orchestra Concert

Mason was the featured artist at this concert at the Civic Auditorium. I sure wish you all could come hear him in his music concerts (which he has had many lately!). He did a wonderful job!! I wish we could have gotten a better picture. Oh, did I tell you that Kimberly entered her picture of Mason with his cello in a photographer's contest in Florida and she won first place! She gave us the finished product. It is AWESOME!!!

Quincy

Quincy loves the snow! He wanted to go on the ski with us and was very sad when we left. So, we gave him a snowmobile ride when we got back and then Papa helped him eat his dinner. The moon was gorgeous! Mason, Bridger, and Payden spent the day on the snowmobiles. They had so much fun and we didn't ever see them for a picture. Sorry... Carlianne had to work, boo-hoo! But she was a good sport and drove up for dinner. Of course, you ALL know that it was a fantastic meal. Shelly and Staff are amazing the amount of food they put out! It was fun also to spend some time with Sloane and Chase (her boyfriend). Sorry we filled up our card and couldn't get pictures of them or the fun evening. We drove home just before midnight, very tired and very happy.

Ducking through the trees

This is alot steeper than it looks! We all spent plenty of time on our faces in the snow and then struggling to untangle and get up and go again. Here, I had to duck to go under a branch. It was one of my successful attempts. Shirley and I plowed into each other a few times. I bent my one pole and buried another in one of the crashes. I'm really surprised that I don't have a picture to show for it. Randy was being nice!

Jeremiah Johnson!

Cameron looked so handsome with his beard and longer hair! I made him pose. He and Stafford and Shirley all got new back country skiis and were having so much fun on them. Hmmmm.....I might need to check out the end of season sales!

Are we allowed to have this much fun?

Swan Valley

Ok, because of the fun ski on Saturday, we were going to work on President's Day, but hey, what do you do when Stafford calls and invites you to his cabin for a ski!? You go!!! We had such a fun ski with Stafford, Shirley, Cameron and Claire. We bushwhacked through the trees and up the mountain, then traversed the mountain and watched the little snowballs go down the mountain and turn into bigger snowballs. The men assured me that we were not in avalanche country.

Fun on the skiis

We had a most wonderful ski on Saturday. Mason was busy with Bonnevaires and couldn't come, but Carlianne, Dad and I went down to Willow Creek and skiid along the creek. In the first picture, Carlianne broke through the ice. It was quite shocking, but the water is only several inches high in most places. You can see it was quite warm. I think this is cute of Carlianne looking over at the Elk that we happened on to. We saw two seperate herds of at least 35 each. This herd had two bulls in it. You can tell it wasn't hunting season! It was really fun. We also saw about 70 head of deer and three coyotes. Randy took the snow mobile down to the Creek and parked it while Carli and I skiid down the road. It was a blast! About 1 1/2 miles of all downhill, a little icy so we gained speed a few times that made the skiis hum and whine. I loved it! After we went down the creek for quite awhile, we went back to the machine and rode out on it with Carlianne holding on to a rope. It's a great way to ski!
