Hoo-Doo
Doesn't Dad look great on his horse? He kept going out from the group to explore and maybe to train. We all mentioned that he looked like "The Lone Ranger". I must get him a mask! And his horse looks like "Silver". Now you may not remember this but "The Lone Ranger" was one of our favorite TV shows. Silver always stood up on his hind legs as the Lone Ranger left the scene where he saved someone's life. Hoo-Doo does that when he wants to return to the group. Wish I could have gotten a picture of that.
Velvet
This was the best ride yet on my new horse. She is coming along very well. This is the first time I have been able to get her to stand on a rock. It was fun! The day before, we took a short ride and I was nervous the whole time. I was nearly in tears at the end, missing my confidence with Dart. I really miss him and it bugs me to leave him when I go, but he just can't take these rides anymore. I'm glad I was given this good ride to boost my confidence in Velvet and her confidence in me. It will be so good to get her to the point that I can relax in the saddle again....
Some kind of house-warming gift!
This drunk drove off the road and plowed through the new fence and came to rest in the tree. We think he was airborn and the huge tree branches kept him from flipping. We have much to be grateful for as two nights before, we were all out in that spot planting posts for a fence. Less than an hour before, we had our loaded horse-trailer parked where he came through, and about ten minutes before, Carlianne and Mason had pulled in the driveway along his path. We were all outside, but thankfully in the back yard deciding where to start the evening's work. A horrible sound and a wall of dirt sent us running to the front to check it out. The drunk was OK. The police came and handcuffed him and hauled him off to jail. Paul has decided to plant trees and boulders where the new fence is and move the fence MUCH closer to the house so that noone will ever be out there should something like that happen again.

Summer fun
The kids had a great time at the water park in Rexburg. Then, we had a belated birthday party for the girls. I promised it when they had their birthday so close to when they were coming home, then I forgot so we slipped it in really quickly just before they left. Cute Honica and her kids came over at the last minute with gifts and a crowd to make it feel real festive.
