Mimi's Treasures

Camille is fixing us something to eat in her cute kitchen. Dad with Quincy in the dining area. Her house is darling and her setting is Heavenly. Just like the cabin, the bugs are the only detracter. Posted by Picasa

Paul's roping competition

I love these small town events! I just might have to find property there and settle down to the quiet life..... Posted by Picasa

finally!

After all these years skiing on whatever ski was in the boat, I got myself a ski! I am so excited! Now, I need to get in shape. I found that my legs will only hold up for the customary one ski/year. I was given the opportunity to ski again the day after Neil Wilkinson gave me a pull and my muscles completely rebelled!  Posted by Picasa

Aspen is enjoying chips at the beach. I don't know why I don't have pictures of the everyone else.  Posted by Picasa

Big sister, Carlianne

Sariah has a radar system that lets her know when Carlianne is home. Carlianne treats her just like a little sister. She took her to town this morning and got her a Wendy's ice-cream. Posted by Picasa

My little horse buddy

Sariah reminds me of me! She comes over almost daily to play with or ride the horses. I think we have decided to name the colt "BayHawk" and call him "Hawk". Is that better than Huckleberry?

Can we come to live with you, Mimi?

Mary and Brennan moved out of their darling home today and will be staying with us until they leave for Chiropractic school the end of August. We are tickled to "soak" up the cuteness to save it up for the dry spell while they are in Missouri. Posted by Picasa

The new Charter school next door

Progress is sometimes hard to take, especially when it's in your back yard! I LOVED that field next door but for a month, I have awakened to the sound of the tractors cutting up the earth in preparation for the water/sewer/electricity for the new charter school (Taylor's Crossing) next door. They will use 5 modular buildings for 3 years to test it out, then, if all goes well, they will build a beautiful 5 million dollar school. I have decided that is better than 40 homes.....sigh..... Posted by Picasa

Remember, you have to start at the bottom to get the chronology of the exciting birthday letter. Halli is checking out the frisbee and Aspen is reading "love, Auntie Katie". Then Halli shows us her gum (which she promptly swallowed!)  Posted by Picasa

Aspen is showing us the gum and then sharing with Halli, showing her the frisbee and then reading her the letter. Posted by Picasa

This was so cute! They were both so tickled but Aspen thought it was hers so she took it and ran to the house and opened it while I comforted Halli with another letter! Do you see Aspen high-tailing it down the lane? Posted by Picasa

Anniversary ride

This just shows how gorgeous the place was. I can't believe we don't have a picture together. We were with a big group and had fun. It was fun to have Carlianne with us. She has the together pictures of us. Maybe she will add them later. We went to Targhee Pass.

Our new Pickup!

We found a great deal on a pickup and we think we will buy it. It is a 2000 previously owned by a retired couple who only used it to pull their 5th wheel. It is a clean, hauling machine~! 29.000 miles, not a mark on it anywhere! It is a 454 vortex, gas. And, they are really being good to us on the price.:) Now I can pull my horses without borrowing! YIPPEE! Posted by Picasa

Ward Campout

We also had fun with Halli and Aspen. I took them so Mary could start packing :( We took them on our ward campout. What a blast for them (and us!) We went to sleep to the tune of "Twinkle Little Star" because we tried to get them to focus on the stars so they would unwind. We just giggled and fell to sleep with a smile on our faces. Awe, but the night was short. Halli woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5:30! Posted by Picasa

Picnic in the yard

It was so much fun having the boys for a few days. They had fun this day roasting hot dogs and marshmallows with Karina and Sariah
